Legacy House
Residential Renovation // 2021 // Antipolo City
The site is situated on a hilly part of the community which overlooks a golf course. The project is a redevelopment of an existing structure which is connected to the client’s home. Legacy house is phase one of a conjoined residential project.
Since the client loves to host visitors regularly, the spaces were designed to have varying degrees of privacy. This gradient approach offers the user choices on how to interact with the space as well as with the other users. This was done by creating nooks and crannies which allow for intimacy and seclusion.
Materials were kept to a small selection of wood, stone tiles, and glass. This approach highlighted the interior spaces as well as the surrounding landscape. The result is an architecture of earth-toned layered spaces.
